Other hostile beings, such as robots, giant pests, human beings, wild animals, and aliens, exist side-by-side with the living dead. During a catastrophic event that almost rubbed out mankind, the major character sought haven in a shelter. After a few days, the major character had to leave a secure area and travel in search of food, water, and weapons.
